Chapter 1 General Information
1.3.5 Graphics/Audio
Graphics Core: AMD Radeon RDNA3 Graphics supports VCN4.0, VP9, H.264,
H.265 decode HW decode/encode/transcode acceleration.
1.3.6 Expansion Interface
1.3.6.1 PCIe p17-x1
PCI Express x1: By default, the SOM-6873 supports 8 x PCIe x1 ports compliant with
PCIe Gen3 (8.0 GT/s) specifications. These lanes can be configured as PCIe x4 or
PCIe x2, depending on system requirements. Some configuration options may
require BIOS modifications—please contact Advantech sales or your local FAE for
assistance.
1.3.6.2 LPC
There is support for the Low Pin Count (LPC) 1.1 specification, without DMA or bus
mastering. It enables connection to Super I/O, an embedded controller, or TPM.

The SMBus 2.0 specification is supported.

C Bus
There is support for I²C bus 7-bit and 10-bit address modes. It supports standard
mode up to 100 Kb/s, and fast mode up to 400 Kb/s. (Default on the EC, optional on
the SoC)

1.3.8.1 Gigabit Ethernet
Ethernet: Intel® I226 Gigabit LAN supports 10/100/1000 Mbps & 2.5 Gbps Speed.
1.3.8.2 SATA
The SOM-6873 supports 4 x SATA Gen3 ports (6.0 Gb/s), which are backward com-
pliant with SATA Gen2 (3.0 Gb/s) and Gen1 (1.5 Gb/s). Each port offers a maximum
