3.4 Modbus Address Setting
To adjust the Fixed Mode or Flexible Mode and obtain the corresponding Modbus
addresses, click on Modbus Mapping.
For the AMAX-5070 device, the Modbus client address should always be set to
Group 0 (G0), and it is not affected by the rotary switch on the device (as shown in
Figure 3.21). But the rotary switch value will show on MainDevice.
However, for the AMAX-5074 device, both the Advantech Utility Group ID and Mod-
bus client Device ID will automatically synchronize with the value set on the rotary
switch (as indicated in Table 3.1). It's important to note that the AMAX-5079 device
does not occupy a Modbus address (as depicted in Figure 3.22).
