USR link connection
Use the network port (labeled 1) to join the ADDERView Matrix USR either directly to
a CAM or via a suitable 1GbE network switch. The adjacent SFP port (labeled 2) allows
a second network port to be added, either another CATx port or alternatively, a ber
module to support longer connection lengths.
To make a link connection
1 Insert a standard network cable into the RJ45 (CATx) socket (labeled 1) on the rear
panel of the USR.

2 Connect the other end of the cable either directly to a
CAM or via a suitable network switch.

Optional SFP module types
• SFP-CATx-RJ45 for use with CAT5e (and above) cable.
• SFP-SM-LC modules require OS1 or OS2 single mode ber.
• SFP-MM-LC modules require OM1, OM2, OM3 or OM4 multi-mode ber.
