5.4 Children
• Keep electrical devices out of reach of children. Never allow children to use electrical devices
unsupervised. Children may not always properly identify possible hazards. Small parts may be
fatal if swallowed.
• Keep packaging film away from children. There is a risk of suffocation.
• This device is not intended for children. If used incorrectly, parts under spring tension may fly
out and cause injury to children (e.g. to eyes).
5.5 Installation location/operating environment
• Place or mount the Smartvest Pro on a steady, level surface and do not place any heavy objects
on the device.
• Ensure that there is sufficient ventilation (do not place the Smartvest Pro on shelves, on a thick
carpet, on a bed or where ventilation slots are covered, and leave at least 10 cm clearance to
all sides; this does not apply to wall mounting, for this use the installation instructions provided
in 1.3).
• The Smartvest Pro is not designed for operation in rooms with high temperatures or humidity
(e.g. bathrooms) or excessive dust.
For all devices only suitable for indoor use, please ensure that
• no direct heat sources (e.g. heaters) act on the devices.
• the devices are not exposed to direct sunlight or strong artificial light
• there are no open fire sources (e.g. burning candles) on or next to the devices.
• contact with sprayed or dripping water is avoided
• the devices (with the exception of the FUWM45000 water detector, please follow the installation
instructions for the water sensor in item 7) are not be operated in the vicinity of water; in
particular the devices must never be submerged (do not place any objects filled with liquids,
e.g. vases or drinks, on or next to the device).
• the devices are not exposed to large temperature fluctuations, as otherwise there may be
condensation from humidity which may lead to electrical short circuits
For all devices that are suitable for indoor and outdoor use, please ensure that
• the devices are not exposed to excessive shock or vibration
• the devices are not in the immediate vicinity of magnetic fields (e.g. loudspeakers).
• contact with aggressive liquids is avoided
• no foreign objects are able to penetrate the components
• the operating temperature and operating humidity of the devices are observed.
